Question the Author

 

Question the Author is literacy based strategy that focuses on a specific historical thinking skill, examining the credibility of the writer or author. Students will mainly be focused formulating questions and critically thinking about the reliability of a source’s creator. This strategy is clearly tailored to the needs and goals of a social studies classroom and could be used dwith numerous primary sources. Students will work on detecting bias and arguing whether or not certain sources are valuable or too clouded with bias.
