Sentence Starters

Sentence starters are open-ended comments that grant students the opportunity to make their own connections. By using blanks and these open-ended sentences, this literacy based strategy will help students think about content in a different, less restrictive way. This strategy also allows for differentiation by allowing students to pick their sentence starters. These starters could also then be used for discussion.
